Patagonia Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon

VINEYARD LOCATION

Alto Valle de Río Negro, Patagonia

VINES

100 % Cabernet Sauvignon grapes with a yield of 45 hl/ha. The grapes are harvested at the end of April by hand into small 20kg trays in order not to damage the fruit. The grapes are then meticulously sorted in order to select the best grapes for this wine.

WINEMAKING

Cold maceration for 5 days followed by fermentation in temperature controlled tanks at 25-27°C with 4 pump overs per day and a maceration period of 20 days. 60% is then aged in French oak for 12 months.

TASTING NOTES

Dark red colour. Complex on the nose with delicious aromas of black cherries, mint and spices. A wine with good structure and great balance. On the palate it is elegant with ripe blackcurrant and plum fruit and complex cigar box hints.
