100% Merlot grapes with a yield of 45 hl/ha.

The grapes are harvested by hand at the end of March into in small trays of 20 kg in order not to damage the grapes. The grapes are then meticulously sorted in order to select the best grapes for this wine.

WINEMAKING

Cold maceration for 5 days before fermentation is carried out in temperature controlled tanks at 25-27°C with 3 pump overs per day and a period of 20-25 days of maceration. 60% is then aged in French oak for 12 months.

TASTING NOTES

Very intense cherry red colour. The aromas are a delicious combination of wild berries, vanilla and coffee. On the palate this is a complex and velvety wine, fruity, with a wonderful long finish. Great with grilled meats, pasta and soft cheese.
